This is an attempt to emulate William's bizarre creations. I seldom like his work but realize the talent he possesses. William is a long-time Hog friend of mine. I hope to get a comment on my effort to mimic his work. And as always, I gladly accept criticism. I wont try doing his weird word scrambling but add a ditty to my images. One last comment - I don't have any programs, i.e., photo shop or other used to change the normal into the sublime.

What's the name of the drug, and is it prescription only? These are fun.

Sorry, I can't divulge the name of the drug but can tell you it's not over the counter. Thank you, SWFeral for viewing my post. I'm glad you found them fun. I forgot to include the silly words - they are: Covet - love it! nitty witty silly ditty.

You too. I'm getting ready to drive to Tucson in the sloppiest weather we've had in months. Yesterday we got 1 3/4" of rain, and then snow...be interesting to see how things look in the low mountains that are just out of town. But I have to go--I have all the food! Enjoy your day.

Have a safe trip. Is your real 'handle' a deep dark secret or would you tell me your name. If you have all the food I'm guessing your gender is female. On the other hand maybe you're a chef.

Well your assumption is correct but for the wrong reason, and my name doesn't help much--Kris-- but yes, I am an old girl. I brought the food, carry-out meals from a local restaurant; I'm no cook. I always have to bring food when I visit my mom because she's not the nurturing type. I'm expected to be here regularly but if I want to eat I have to bring my own food! Anyway she didn't care for the meal, so that felt like a bust. I hope your Thanksgivng was nicer.

Well, Kris, I had just the opposite Thanksgiving Day. It was spent with some of my family and my granddaughter and her hubby roasted the turkey and had several sides, i.e., dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, veggies & dip, pie and cheesecake. Did I pig out - I sure did. It's a tradition to take a few pictures of me eating the drum.

Betcha you'll think you're young when I tell you I was 96 in May. Still going strong. Must be the Marine determination. I am on oxygen but only use it at night. I'm very fortunate I can spend the day someplace without portable oxygen.

It's rather odd - you're the only Hog who has chimed in on my On The Wild Side post.

I noticed that too, and I can tell you it's happened to me more times than I care to admit. Just think of it this way: people don't know what they're missing. I knew you were up there in age from things you've said in earlier posts, but 96 is impressive! And good for you for pigging out. I'm safely home with my wonderful pets and no one griping.

That's never happened to me before - in fact, just the opposite. I like your idea - they don't know what they're missing. Maybe I'll post them again in a couple weeks using a different title and include the silly ditty. Tell me about your pets. It broke my heart when I had to give up my cat (my avatar) Peek-A-Boo when I moved to this retirement community. Peek is with a family who loves him to pieces and spoils him rotten. I'm thankful for that.
It's been a cold nasty day; no snow just a little rain. What state are you in?

Did you just add your location? I never saw it before. I am in New Mexico, a mountainous southwestern part of it; I love it. My heart was here before I ever discovered it. I am far removed from Santa Fe, never go there.

It breaks my heart too to know that you had to leave Peek-A-Boo with someone else, but I do know that cats, probably more than dogs, are figure-outers. Much as they dislike change they are natural survivors and therefore adaptable (though I've heard of some who are traumatized by a change in residence). Peek is very beautiful. Might he be a Maine Coon?

I'll tell you about my pets and you have to tell me about the retirement community, why you moved there, how you chose it, if you like it. I ask because my mother is a bitter 86-year-old: long story. It breaks MY heart to spend time with her, yet I am committed to making her last years good. But one cannot fix another person's life. I do my best.

So, my pets, and I think you've seen them: The wonderful and challenging Ted, a mixed-breed dog who reluctantly accompanies me on my hikes; and Leaf, who I can only half claim, a beautiful cat who showed up at my house a terrified kitten last Thanksgiving. I share my life with other animals but these are the ones I post about.

As I am cagey about my personal life, I will share more through private messages. Meanwhile here are Ted and Leaf, just shots randomly chosen.

Well, I for one, have enjoyed reading the dialog Annie, that you've had with SWFeral, although I haven't commented. Prime reason is I'm afraid I'm not the "artistic type" ... but I stumbled on the dialog & have enjoyed it. I to say 2 things ... first, thanks for your service Annie (I too was in the Corps & am getting along in years although not to your level). And SWFerel ... I tip my hat to you for doing what's right for & with your mother ... (from experience, I recognize it's not easy being a caregiver when they aren't positive ... so kudos to you for being there). It says a lot about you. Best to you both.

Thank you for jumping in with this nice comment, fbeaston. My husband was a career Marine. He served in WW11, Korea and Vietnam. I served 2 years. Thank you for you service. OOH RAH!
