I have a Nikon D7200. My lens are: Nikon 18-55 which came with the camera
Tamron 18-400 and Tamron 18-200, both of these I use most of the time as I travel with the 200 because its lighter than the 400. I also have a Tamron 10-24 wide angle lens.
My question is what would be a good Prime lens to use with my current collection?
Thanks Hoggers!

A prime for what? Macro, wide angle landscape or small birds a long way off? Outdoors in bright light or in dim light?
Some people like the 50mm.
A fast 1.8 aperture and give you a short telephoto that works for some portraiture styles.
Nikon just posted a lot of prime lenses and cameras at discount prices. Check them out. You have to tell us what you shoot before we can suggest a focal length for you.
Take a look at Tamron's SP series prime lenses. The reason is they all have vibration compensation (except the 35mm f/1.4), a metal lens barrel and are fully weather sealed. I have the 45mm f/1.8 SP VC that I use on my D7000, D500, and D750. The vibration compensation makes a difference.

That would be another great choice.
35mm f1.8G DX version. And the 50mm f1.8 FX. Nikon does not make a DX version 50mm lens. But you can almost use any Nikon full frame lens on the D7200. Advantage is the internal focus motor it has. For portraits, you can use the nifty fifty, or an 85mm f1.8G. Both are low light lenses. The 50mm will give you a FOV of 75mm. The 85mm will give you a FOV of 127.5mm on your D7200.
A prime lens for indoor family shoots. Looking to get the best possible shots of my grand kids indoors.
Thanks!
35mm f1.8 G DX; and maybe the 85mm f1.8 G FX or the 50mm f1.8G FX.

For that, the 35mm 1.8 DX.
I have a 35mm f/1.8 that I love and it's a great price. I just ordered the 50mm f/1.8 and can't wait to use it. For indoors depends on the size of the rooms. Maybe the 35 would be better.
