I'm guessing this update includes other Sony mirrorless cameras. Not just the Sony RX10iv?

The AF is 'borrowed' from the A9. The A7RIV has the same AF system.
So yes ... but it was borrowed from the previous cameras .... not from your camera to others.

Sony is a big game player now in the mirrorless market surpassing Nikon and Canon offerings! So I don’t believe that’s the case anymore.

I had no problem finding and downloading the upgrade, but having some problems getting it to the camera. Have tried to religiously follow the instructions, but when I hook up the camera, nothing happens. Anyone else have any problem, or any suggestions?

I have the IV. Everything looks perfect until it says hook up the camera, then nothing.
I use a Mac to interface. Updated to catalina.
