Nice photo. I noticed when I was there that there is only a very thin layer of dirt and vegetation on top. Below that layer is solid rock, like the rest of the planet. That's why it is such a booger to plant a tree.

Very nice and great in download!
What an awesome canyon. I went to college in Gunnison a long time ago, but not before this canyon was formed, and I enjoyed visiting it from time to time. I think it instilled in me a love of all canyon walls. Thank you for taking me back.
I really enjoyed the colors and texturesπ€π€ππ

Love your capture! It's bright and well-composed. I was there 30+ years ago and the scene never gets old.
Very nice. Just enough clouds that they don't distract. Beautiful detail.

Definitely a superb image.
Beautiful photograph!
Which view point was this taken from?
Really stunning vantage point.
Do you frequent the Gunni / Black Crack?
I have spent a good deal of time gorge and surrounding areas and miss it dearly.
You must have other pics....
