Thanks for the info MT..bought a D7100 grey market a couple yrs ago and it was always in the back of my mind..although I probably wouldn't do it again, you gave me piece of mind !

My guess is they are just referring to the color. They might not know that they are all black.

It just mean that the color of the camera is black. There are some nikon cameras that come in other color, like the D5300 as an example which also come in Red and Grey (which is not to be confused with Grey Market product which means cameras that came from un-authorized dealers or meant to be sold to other countries)
