In this installment we are in Madrid, the capital of Spain. I can't explain exactly why, but it seemed like Madrid did not have the abundance of great photo ops as some of the other places we visited. Still, it was a large and interesting city, and I was able to capture some images that I thought worthy of posting. Comments welcome and I hope you enjoy.

I enjoyed all of these shots, tom...the garden and the palace are beautiful. i
like the street scene also. good job.

Thank you for taking a look. We were there in late September and early October 2019.

How was the tourist situation ? It didn't look like the place was over run. The reason I ask, I am planning a trip to Spain.

There were lots of tourists, but still plenty of room to get around and see what we wanted to see. Basically, the tourist situation in Spain was better than in France.

Very nice series. We visited Madrid as part of our 11 week trip to Europe in 1973 and enjoyed it; your photos brought back fond memories. One of the highlights of our trip was a day trip to Toledo (and I recall the great sangria in a sidewalk cafe there).

Thank you very much for taking a look and commenting. Sorry about the delay in replying, but health issues have been keeping me on the sidelines. We also visited Toledo and found it to be a fascinating place. So much history in that city.

Not a problem. I hope you are recovered from your health issues.
