Well I did touch it up with a microfiber cloth. Not sure that helped. Thanks for the compliment.

Thanks, B. Most folks I think hone in on the Mill. But I get kinda pensive in the Fall and this seemed to reflect my mood. Glad you like them.

2 days drive down, 2 days back, 2 days in the Park. Wanted to "Road Test" a D610 I picked-up for a song.
The very first photo (the mill) would be an excellent subject for someone proficient with water colors, acrylic, or oil paints. Perfect subject in my opinion.
Ken and Jack, thanks for looking in and for the compliments. Fiddlemaker, actually my daughter is a painter and for Christmas one year she gave my wife paintings of several of my images of mills and barns. One of them was Mabry Mill from an earlier visit. They are hanging in our breakfast room. Thanks for your very kind comment.
Excellent results. Good first trip with the new camera.
Gorgeous shots - thanks for sharing.

Thank-you, Shooter (Are you related to the "next poster"? Just had to ask.) I used the camera hand-held only with VR Nikon lenses and I think it did pretty well in my shaky old hands.

Really nice images.
Thanks, Kathy. Have you ever come East for the leaves, yourself?

Thanks, Bill, and you're quite welcome. I think it was Ned Gillette who said that if you travel to a distant, beautiful spot and don't bring back photo images to share, then you are just being selfish.

I grew up in the Midwest. We used to go to Brown County for fall colour. When I went to the Smokies, it was in the spring and I drove through pea soup the entire trip!
