I am currently in Japan with a NGE Photography Expedition with a great pro photographer leader. 14 plus the leader and partner and all pretty nice polite people. They are making some effort to get us to places before the crowds and arranging private shooting ops. There is one Fugi guy and one Nikon shooter (me). All the rest are Canon. Most, I believe other than me and the pro are crop sensor. The Fugi is mirrorless as am I. The pro is shooting a Canon 5D without tripod at between 2000 and 4000 ISO, where he said he lives most of the time. Go figure. Not sure what this says about the market as the sample is too small statistically.
Older and wiser voices can help you find the right camera brand, especially when you are willing to listen to those who shoot Canon.

Can[n]ons are much louder....๐
Hello. Whatever brand you shoot, welcome.
Japan? One place Iโd love to visit!
We never got stationed there, though my dad put in for it several times.
Thatโs Fuji....with a โjโ by the way.
I see more of them in Europe than the US.
My best friend shoots with Canon.
Theyโre all good!
I spent 2 hours in Japan a while back. I bought a nice Seiko watch and went home.

Residual effect of Halloween ?
Brand of camera is just about as important as the brand of toothpaste one uses. Technique is what really makes the difference, not the brand.

I know you have heard this many times before, but, "it matters little what camera you use, what matters most is who is pushing the shutter button".
On one assignment in college our professor (from Germany) took a Kodak Instamatic camera (we were allowed to use our Nikon's and Canon's) out on a photo assignment. After developing our shots we compared images, HE BLEW US AWAY USING ONLY A INSTAMATIC CAMERA.
Again I say, it is the photographer, not the camera that makes the difference, and it will always be that way. Stop with GAS, and get on with your photographic education, equipment is always secondary.
I grew up with everyone taking sides over whether or not we could own a Ford or a Chevy now it is cameras. I found out the brand of car mattered little if it got you there and feel cameras are about the same!
