They are one of nature's smartest & kindest creatures and you were blessed with their presence.
And the memory is more important than the quality of the image and you definitely got the shot and that's what matters to me personally. And your commentary about the encounter is just as vital to the reader.

More please......I won't mind at all

Wow, thank you so much, Blair; I really appreciate your kind comments. Yes, the thrill of watching these beautiful animals was almost like a religious experience; added to this was the joy of seeing my granddaughter (9 years old) watch in awe on this her first ever whale watch.

Rob, very nice shots of wonderful creatures. Thanks for sharing these photos. I recently had two opportunities to share the ocean with these Common Dolphins off the coast of Southern California. The naturalist on one of these jaunts explained that they got the name "Common" Dolphin because they are the one dolphin species found in all of the oceans around the earth...the "common" species. Just thought I'd share that while we are looking at your photo.

Keep sharing your photographs here on UHH.

Thank you so much, may I call you, jak; I'm glad you brought this to my (and everyone's ) attention. That is one of the reasons I gave this post the title I did. Thank you again.

Thank you very much, Donna; It was so thrilling to watch these beautiful and graceful of God's creatures. It was an added joy to see the awe in my granddaughter's (9 years old) face on this her first ever whale watch.

Great Experience.

It was, Jeff; I had seen dolphins on a previous whale watch, but nothing like the show they gave us on this trip.

Thank you, Jeff; yes; dolphins are one species that seem to play just for the fun of it. They are very gregarious creatures that live in tight knit social groups.
