Rob, very nice shots of wonderful creatures. Thanks for sharing these photos. I recently had two opportunities to share the ocean with these Common Dolphins off the coast of Southern California. The naturalist on one of these jaunts explained that they got the name "Common" Dolphin because they are the one dolphin species found in all of the oceans around the earth...the "common" species. Just thought I'd share that while we are looking at your photo.

Actually I think you underestimate your photo. You caught the dolphins in the water moving at a good clip and the detail is just super. Another thing I like about it is that there is no sign of the boat you are on so it's as though they are all alone and you, well, I don't know where you are! That's what makes a really good nature photo.
Thank you so much, forbescat; I appreciate your generous comments. I was hanging way out over the side of the boat with my camera strapped securely to me and one hand on the railing. It was a rush.
