has anyone had anything to do with Photostick? I live in New Zealand, and I bought one ,a 64GB stick, and since a got it it will not work, I have tried to get help from Photostick without much help at all, the only thing they told me to do was to Format it, which I thouht was strange thing to have to do on a new product, anyway after much thought, I did format it, and you guessed it , it still does not work, now as I am 82 and not that crash hot on computers, i took my computer to my sons, and after he looled at it, he tells me the programme photostick ex was not on it, no big suprise, and said for me to contact Photostick and ask how I could re install on my photostick,
I have tried to contact Photostick so many times but they will not reply, Can anyone help me re my problem, or have I JUST BOUGHT A LOAD OF JUNK, and been conned , must admit this product has not made me feel very pro American,
Thanks for any help that anyone can give me, Colin Lunt Pahiatua New Zealand

You could try to email them ( support@thephotostick.com ) and see if they will send you the exe by email. If they won't I would tell them that you belong to UHH and will give the product a thumbs down review.

Good luck!

So, you're condemning an entire nation of around 350 million people because you bought a product from a USA based company, that doesn't work for you. Doesn't seem quite fair. If I purchased a dodgy product from a New Zealand based company, I certainly wouldn't knock the country or it's people. I like New Zealand, even though I've yet to visit.
If you bought it on Amazon, just tell them it doesn't work and return it. I'm not sure I understand the part where you formatted the photo stick. That doesn't sound like a wise thing to do since the software that runs it is on the photo stick, and I'd think formatting it would make the software inaccessible.
I don't own a photo stick but I've read about them and they are one of several devices you may use to find and back up image and video files and other file types. From what I've read the photo stick is quite easy to use and it doesn't even come with instructions.
Like I said, if it doesn't work, return it.

I don't believe being a member of UHH will really matter much...

Thanks for your reply, and NO i a not condeming a whole nation, just the fact that they are so ignorant at not replying to my many e/mails etc, or is that the way things are done inthe USA, i very much doubt it, but it has sure left a very bitter feeling to my experiance with dealing with a US company, and sure put me off for future dealings,, Colin Oh and I am sure if you had similar experiance with a NZ company, you would feel the same.

Not at all. It doesn't matter to me where a company is based.
When dealing with a business or a company, one is doing just that, dealing with a business or a company, not a country. No business or company represents a country or a countries people.
I live in a fairly small state. Size wise I believe Pennsylvania ranks 33 out of 50. By area, Pennsylvania is less than half the size of New Zealand but it has more than twice the population. PhotoStick is not based in Pennsylvania, it's based in Colorado I believe, but I could be wrong. My point, if there really is one, is, none of the people in the small state of Pennsylvania have anything to do with the problem you are having with your PhotoStick. We wish you absolutely no I'll will at all, and if I could speak for the around 12 million Pennsylvanian, we hope you get resolution for your problem.
Back to something mentioned earlier. You formatted the thumb drive. I don't know what exactly you did while formatting but, PhotoStick is not about the hardware. There's nothing special about the actual thumb drive. PhotoStick is software and formatting removes any links to software, or erases it, on a storage device. You say the program is gone; that's probably because you formatted it away. Do you have a copy of the software that was on the photostick thumb drive?

I think you bought junk but check and see I don't think your stick came from America. I think it's junk because I wouldn't buy it based on the advertisement.

Yes, but you are lashing out at the whole nation in this post. There are good people everywhere, probably some even in NZ. But since you stated that they first told you to format it, they really did reply. If your comments here are the way you treated them, maybe that influenced how they respond (or not) to you.

Like Ellen says, "be nice to everyone".

Which company?
https://thephotostick.com or

https://photostick.com

They are 2 separate web sites.

My 87 year old Father in Law bought one. He couldn't get it working. I came over and backed up his images on it for him.... Maybe you should have had someone more tech savvy do that for you....He has two laptops. He had the newer one so messed up that I had to do a restore of the entire hard drive to fix it....The older one had Windows 7 on it and he had lost the OS disk so I am awaiting a new disk to fix that one....

Don't condemn an entire nation for 1 product.

I purchased the same product and got exactly the same results. This company does not care about after the sale service. They will not reply to your repeated emails. I have warned all my friends away from this product and this company. Another side note, when I tried to leave feedback as a customer I was told that the site was experiencing difficulty, try again later. It never changes.

Both of the products, Photostick and ThePhotostick have very bad reviews. Over 50% negative.
So, why in the world did you buy something that you could easily look up and verify reputation before you bought. Let the buyer beware. Maybe you didn't learn anything in your 82 years. Too bad we don't get do overs in life.

I bought one months ago. It didn't work. I returned it to Amazon with absolutely no trouble.
