October 12th 2019 brought very high winds along the shores of Lake Michigan. Temps were in the 40s and winds were above 25 MPH. I made two trips to the water's edge, the first one was while the sun was playing Hide and Seek and those sneaky waves got me again, and another pair of shoes has to dry out. Later in the day, upon learning of some familiar kiteboarders were in town, I returned. There was no sun, but the waves were spellbinding to me. Oh, and I was faster than the wave that tried to get me wet, again, so I just returned home with sand where sand doesn't belong, and more photos to enjoy.

Sue, these images are sensational. I'm hoping to get similar shots at Holland or Grand Haven - just need transpo. You and your camera are remarkable.

Thank you. I almost went to Manistee yesterday, different view/lighthouse, but then I got word some of my favorite kiteboarders were heading to Frankfort, so I stayed.

Thank you for the information. Have the powers that be considered moving it? The Cape Hatterras was moved several years ago and they are talking about moving it again.

I don't know if they have considered it at all. I know it is iconic for Frankfort and there is a fundraiser to help make repairs to it.

I hope the fundraiser goes well. It's a nice looking little lighthouse and I would hate to see it disappear. Thanks for all the info!!!

Your images are "spellbinding" for me, Sue. I love 1,6,7. But I'm really intrigued by #3. Looks like the image was still wet when you scribbled on the water with a paint brush.

Thank you. I love your comments on number 3. Mostly the waves were large, and apart, but all of a sudden I saw that weird clump of white water, and I just snapped a few shots of it, not really sure what caused it, but thought it was interesting. Again, thank you for the kind and creative comments.
