October 12th 2019 brought very high winds along the shores of Lake Michigan. Temps were in the 40s and winds were above 25 MPH. I made two trips to the water's edge, the first one was while the sun was playing Hide and Seek and those sneaky waves got me again, and another pair of shoes has to dry out. Later in the day, upon learning of some familiar kiteboarders were in town, I returned. There was no sun, but the waves were spellbinding to me. Oh, and I was faster than the wave that tried to get me wet, again, so I just returned home with sand where sand doesn't belong, and more photos to enjoy.
I like the first and last the most.
What a wonderful set. Great shooting!

Nice set.....I agree with Longshafow, first and last, but then, I like lighthouses.
Really great set, hard to believe it's a lake.

I like those as well, but I wanted to show other aspects of our raging lake. :)

They are, adventurous! One of our kiteboarders lost a finger the other week to the lake. He went down and one of the lines was wrapped around his finger, and he didn't realize it, as he fought his way back to the surface... the wind caught his kite, and the damage happened. His friend helped him to shore and he is otherwise healing well, I understand.

Thank you, Dodie. This is the Frankfort lighthouse, along the shores of Lake Michigan, it is at the end of a long break wall, which due to high lake levels, disappears when the waves kick up.

Thank you for the information. Have the powers that be considered moving it? The Cape Hatterras was moved several years ago and they are talking about moving it again.
