I asked everyone (respectfully) if I could share some of my boudoir photographs, and everyone but a few went wacko on me. But then a new person comes in and directly post a boudoir photograph and it's all fine and dandy?

I don't care that I couldn't post the few that was planned ( no nudity, lingerie style boudoir). I think it is very disrespectful and that particular post should be deleted.
I did have the common decency to "ask before" posting. Then the forum turned into a miniature church! Wow?

Just my opinion.....but....this site seems a bit reserved....and conservative. I happen to frequent many photo sites in a given day....and some may have the occasional "less than conservative" photo posted. That does not bother me.....but I see both sides of this. If this site needs to be more "puritanical" in nature....than I am still willing to be a member. If the group ethic is that certain genres of photographic works needs to be squelched...than I am still going to be a member. It's a shame that there needs to be a conflict ,...but that's the nature of things. I will not chastise,....nor will I encourage any specific type of posting. This is not wishy-washy....it is just not on my list of imperitives.....

Let's see where the dust settles......

The main reason I posted this, most of the people that commented on my forum about the subject, was against it. So this is more for the respect of most of the members on the forum... It's not about me.

hey i happen to think you are right and you should send a message to the admin. the rules are very clear and we all need to live by them, let us keep the hog as a refuge from all the crazyness vulgarity, moral decay and jerry springerness of the world. think of the hog as Mayberry. Oh and the reason so many people went all Church on you is that 80% of all americans identify themselves as christian. Some of us actually try and live the word and take our relationship with God very seriously. Having been raised an atheist and having lived for the world most of my life, I am proud that Jesus cared enough to find me and pull me out of the muck of sin. So i do take His command to live a holy life and dress modestly seriously. there has to be room on the internet for some g rated sites.

Sinatraaman, I spent five years in medical research and worked in ER on some weekends. I saw so much skin both attach and unattached to the owner, that my childhood judo-christian upbringing toward skin soon disappeared in practicality of reality.

I did not find the photo on http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-6141-1.html#61382 to be distasteful or really what I would classify as a "nude" rather it is a display of skin well lit and a pose that is with discretion. Only the bunions bothered me.

I do not directly disagree with your views, but rather I am solidly relaxed regarding my religious beliefs, morals and ethics. I shrug my shoulders at the world around me with a live and let live policy.

If a person has problems with alcohol it does not require that we reenact the 14 amendment! Relax and state calmly and be calm. I do not want you to get an ulcer, wanna keep you in this world doing fine photography. No one is attacking your beliefs or the late great JC sacrifice for mankind. But he recognized that there were other views and so must we all.

Religion teaches tolerance toward those who believe strongly in Nikon, Sony, Pentax, Panasonic, Sony and all the rest. Hay, some of my best friends have Nikons and I still like them!!! I respect there views, photos, and the virtues of their choices.

The point being, the photo is a nude and the rules of this particular forum states, No nudes.

Some of us are here because that rule exists.

I was speaking about sites like http://photo.net/ which have high caliber professional photos in the gallery, and the posting of an artful nude photo is not restricted. The viewer can select a filter to avoid seeing "nudes" while they peruse the site if they wish. I do not know of any sites that exclusively host "less than conservative" shots because I would not frequent such a site myself. It becomes obvious right away if the gallery section of a photography website has a random "nude" shot or seems to have a propensity for just that type of photograph. Since this is more of a "forum" based site I don't see the need for anything to be posted that would offend anyone.

dpullum i respect your views but disagree to an extent. first this is a family freindly site, i would be reacting this strongly if someone posted photos from a wet t shirt contest or hooters girls bikini contest on here. second i don't recall who said this but all that is required for EVIL to triumph is for good men to do nothing. this becomes a very slippery slope once you comprimise on this. One of the things i like most about this site is that it is good clean fun, like the sixties sit coms like beverly hillbilies or gilligans island. You can enjoy yourself and not have the reality of modern life stick its nose under the tent. You can be a sucessful artist in many mediums and not do nudes. for examples, calder, norman rockwell, remington, russel, etc. there are enough photogenic subjects out there that are beautifal and interesting that we don't need nudes, semi nudes, bikini shots to be able to enjoy ourselfes. in the words of that bad early eighties tune, "WE don't have to take our clothes off to have a good time" keep Mayberry mayberry.

Your absolutely right! However, the photograph is of a nude girl (no clothing), the photographs I was going to post (Had clothing, bra's and panties) that's way more than the posted photograph has on. This isn't about me not being able to post my pictures, this is to do with the respect that I asked before posting and got 90% "no" feedback's on posting them. So it's more for the respect of those who voted no...

I recall you to be one of which responded to my post before about boudoir photographs. I am only doing this for the respect of everyone who voted "no". This is a family site...

So, I'm on your side, along with sinatraman and everyone other who agree's! Thanks for stopping in!

You, I can tell your going to be a trouble maker on this website. We are all adults here, if your going to cause trouble maybe you need to go to a troubled teen site instead of one of respect and a family site. I've seen a few of your post were you so far think that everything revolves around complete perfection, I've yet to see any perfection photographs from yourself. If you can't show respect for other on this site, you will not be respected while on this site.
