Welcome to UHH. What an indecent break. Get a lab and develop allergies to the chemistry. Sorry to read that part.

I used to be a Crime Scene Photographer for several police departments, and Sheriff’s Offices. Then for years, I shot for the USAF. From grip and grins to crashes. Now I shoot what I want to. I shoot Leicas from the M6 film, to a M Digital. My wife bought a building that was moved next to my home, so now I have a full lab to play with. I was lucky. I have a color Leica V-35 enlarger. Unfortunately, I have developed an allergy to photo chemistry.

It is ok. At one time I was a professional violist. A friend played violin until he became allergic to rosin

Aloha Longshadow and welcome to UHH. I used to do my own developing and printing but my hands became very sensitive to the chemicals. Thus I had to stop the most fun part of photography at that time. Once digital cameras came out I have again found my darkroom to ge within my computer. Have fun and enjoy your new darkroom and the world of digital photography.

Thank you Sir for your comments. I also spent 22 years, 7 months< 20 days in the USAF. Seven years underground in a Titan II ICBM. I was the guy who would “push the button”.

I cannot even begin to imagine the weight of that responsibility. I work with a retired US Navy Captain who was the weapons officer on an FBM submarine that carried 240 nuclear warheads.

You are so right! We were screened and selected more than astronauts. If our wives bounced a check on base, we were pulled from pulling alerts. Our nuke was 9 megatons. A 1 meg would ignite dry leaves at 10 miles

welcome, The transition to digital is not that bad. I still have most of my film equipment too. I still prefer B&W silver prints over digital prints. I have a Photo Lab Index if you ever want info. I get most of my traditional supplies from Freestyle Photo in LA. I was a B-52 driver in the AF and sat plenty of Nuke Alert too. I no longer glow in the dark. I would not get rid of the Leica equipment. Leica does make digital too.
