You want to see some real "horsepuckey" watch the film makers (directors) do silly things with firearms.

I don't see how the view finder is wasted. For me looking through the view finder shows me whats over there where the picture is being taken. The LCD screen shows me whats on the back of the camera. Please note that I said "for me".

That episode of MM, has been repeated a few times here in the UK. Still have to smile at the same mistake (s) being made. Another programme 'Father Brown'..RC Priest who solves murders / wrongly accused good guys/gals. Usually the local Police sergeant arrives at the crime scene, armed with a 5 x 4 (Plate camera), and proceeds to shoot pictures without having to load the plate/film holders into the back of the camera, and neglecting to remove/replace the dark-slide, before/after shooting. So much for Police evidence. I cringe at each episode, when the same mis-procedure is carried out.
