Another great place to go and see with your camera. WOW. Old Cars & Old Planes are never out of style as far as I am concerned. Wonderful place and some really interesting aircraft to consider.
I like it. Thanks man.
Mister H; DeHavilland fixed the window issue that caused explosive decompression and the Comet 4 owned by the museum has those fixes. The Comet failed because it only carried about 65 passengers and didn't have the range to fly the Atlantic while the then new Boeing 707 carried 183 passengers and with 707-320B Intercontinental it could fly the Atlantic.

Great series, well photographed!
Just to let members know about the Castle Air Museum in central California. It is located in Atwater which is just off Highway 99. They currently have almost 90 aircraft on display and some some unknown number under restoration. Their web site is at
www.castleairmuseum.org.

Nice set and the Comet has always been a favorite. Short lived because of structural weakness.
Yep, she was a real beauty and will be again when they've finished with her. BTW, it was the original Comet, first flying in the late 1940s that suffered those disasterous crashes. By the time the "4" was developed, Boeing and Douglas were ruling the US market for jetliners. This specific Comet 4 flew for Mexicana Airlines but will, apparently, wear BOAC (the originator of British Airways) colors.
A job I could love. Thanks.

My understanding is that most of the workers are volunteers - obviously a labor of love.
