I was out on the 10th of September on my way home from work when the sunset, the clouds, and moon among the clouds opposite of the sunset caught my attention. I parked my car and decided I would just do some experimenting and practicing. Later I pondered what to do with the shots. Interestingly, as I reviewed the photos and thought to trash them, the thought had occurred that silhouettes may be a good approach. Today I stumbled upon your challenge and it made me reconsider the shots. Thank you for the challenge.
Camera: Canon 5D Mark IV
Lens: Sigma 150-600mm Contemporary with 1.4x teleconverter
No filter used, just set the manual settings, focused near the sun but not directly on the sun using back-button focusing, then swung to the composition I wanted and fired using burst mode.

ISO 100, Shutter 1/800, f/16, focal length 791mm

These two silhouettes are from my private archives. I wish I could continue to capture more, but I can't even hold a camera any more due to the advanced rheumatoid arthritis in my hands -- the penalty for my 92 years of survival! But I wouldn't surrender any of those years, especially since I enjoy sharing my memories with my fellow Hoggers. Thank you all for the privilege.

Thank you and I agree. As I posted the shots I found myself preferring #1. Do you have any recommendations on how to improve #2, if possible? I made an attempt pulling back the red hue as I didn't recall the scene being so red.

I worked from your original and adjusted saturation then hue, and got this result
