Pg 30 Nicely done, Lesley. I love the image with the swan
checking out the koi, as well as the first country lane
image and first creek image.

Thank you, Pat...actually was my best shot.
When the sun came up further, all my other images
of her were very blurry...(rocking boat, slow shutter...duh)

Pg 33 - Another awesome series, Pat. If I had to pick a favorite
among these gorgeous images, it would have to be #2...no wait,

Wonderful set Tim really like that last Silhouette shot..Pg. 14
Thanks, Lesley...that was a difficult shot. Most of the
"interpreters" in Colonial Williamsburg are working in
very dark conditions (no electricity), and using flash
would have been rude to the other guests as well as the
young lady, so I had to make due...glad you liked this one!
"Silhouettes and Shadows" Day 3

A couple of newer ones. The newest one taught me a lesson, one I should have remembered so maybe I relearned the same lesson. Or maybe just old age dementia is really setting in. Anyway as I enter the court to begin warmups the other day I noticed this praying mantis on the court as I was walking to the adjacent court. So I set down my gear near it and rushed back to retrieve my camera and capture this unusual creature in this unusual pose. I don't get on my good knee much anymore, especially on hard surfaces. So I flipped out the screen to try to compose the critter in the image. The sun was bright so was increasing shutter speed and decreasing aperture till I could see it on the screen. When I thought I saw it good enough I snapped off multiple shots. Of course I was in a hurry, everybody was already getting warmer than me
Lesson was don't rush, don't set exposure using the screen in bright sun. Result was every image was highly over exposed.
