P1 Great set Tim, just love the set up in #3 Will keep that for future reference. And wow #7 blew me away just love it Tim it works on many angles for me. Also enjoy viewing the last one.
Just one point on showing work you have shown before, good Art you never tire of viewing. If you see a beautiful car or lady do you only want to see it once, no you don't you want to see again and again. Thank you Tim for your reposts
Number 7 was Starena done during a work shop at Nic's studio.
Starena got really wound up. When she gets that way she actually becomes possessed by her name sake for modeling the Vodou Goddess Lalinn (her Model Mayhem stage name).
The possession is a cross germination between the more practical and conservative Madam Lalinn and the haunting Goddess Ezili. Ezili is the Goddess represented in the film series as Calypso in Pirates of the Caribbean. Why the choice of the name Calypso I can not work out, but the use of the maelstrom as symbol for conflict as the huge whirl pool with the ships conflicted is classical magic.
The Maelstrom is the capture force of the sea that draws down into the 'sempo', the magic pot at the base of the tree of knowledge where the sacred mead is located. It is a mushroom cult 'food of the gods' made by combining the red top mushroom with the honey of a certain aggressive honey bee found in the area of the Mediterranean area.
You will find this symbol of the honey bee across the Mediterranean, and up into Europe as a royalty symbol of power, magic and hallucagenic knowledge. Our model's name is SERENA, meaning siren, or the mermaid sirens of ancient Greece and now all the world. The siren seduces men with both her signing (words are magic) and her shear beauty. Our model Starena is them embodiment of the magic that is the draw for men visually. She, when possessed by the Goddess Lalinn/Ezili is pure psychic erotic power. She visually seduces photographers with erotic overtures by her magical gestures. I have seen her in this state many times. It happens when she has her clothes on as well, she belly dances in public and the dance bring her to this power state where the Goddess posses her. She does not even know that it happens, but the women around her feed on the possession becoming intoxicated by the Goddess themselves such that they do dances that would be beyond their capacity.
In a word Starena is doing magic, she is in a state of possession. In our social structure she becomes what is traditionally called being a witch. Starena is the height of what the classical definition of what a witch is, possession by the universal Earth Mother Goddess. She channels Iowaska, Gaia and the other universal female deities. That is why I call her Starena, combined from her given name Serena (siren) and the face card of the Tarot The Star. When possessed like this her yoni takes the form of a lily, most often associated with funerals, the lily associates her desire to Gede*, the consort of death and the grave yard in the Vodon (Vodou) belief system. She is possessed and becomes the universal link between life and death, it is this manner of symbolic magic that occurs during her possession by the dualistic Goddesses.
Now, you would never guess that I get all of that but then that is what my world is made up of, magic, witches, possession and a reverence for the female form as a symbol of life and death. That is why I do erotic photography. I think it is pretty good stuff!
