I'm looking for the best disk clone software out there today but after looking at dozens of "Best Clone Software" recommendations, none can agree who is #1. I used Acronis True Image before but it took almost 2 days to clone one disk (about 249 GB). Anyone out there want to praise their experience with clone software?

I've only used Acronis. Yes, it takes a while, but it worked flawlessly for me for cloning my primary hard drive. It did take a while though. (I had to replace the primary drive before it actually went south. I kept receiving warnings from the disk monitor of an impending disk failure.)

I think no matter what you use it will probably take about the same time as it depends on the amount of data and the transfer rate the computer can handle.

I've been using Clonezilla https://clonezilla.org/ for a few years now. It works wonderfully well.

I don’t know what’s best, but have been using EaseUS ToDo for backups and cloning for years on PCs.

If you use Apple, get SuperDuper from Shirt Pocket software. No doubt about it.

For the Mac I have been using "SuperDuper". It's a bootable back up. Used it to go from one computer to a new one twice in the last 5 years,
never a problem. A new one is out now that says its faster. 600 GB took me about 1.5-2 hours the first time. As a regular back up, times are much less. Less than $30

I've used Acronis and others, but nothing has taken two days. If you've gone through all the "Best" recommendations, you know as much as any of us. In addition to Acronis, I've used EaseUS and Macrium. I can't say that I favor one over the other. I'm not sure if I've used Clonezilla, but it's free.

I use Super Duper for disk backup and to create a bootable desk image. I also use CarbonCopy to back up my photos separately. I’m using a Mac and both have reasonable speed and ability to customize.

I used the free version of Macrium recently to clone hard drives from a desktop and a laptop to SSD drives. It worked flawlessly both times. Both drives were 1 TB and it took a few hours, not days, to clone each one.
I replaced the hard drives with the SSDs and both computers now fly!

I have used Acronis for 12+ years. I also validate every backup. My full backups do take a while, the subsequent incremental ones are much faster. They do take a while, but I don't have to sit and watch it. It's not a problem because my PC runs 24/7 with an occasional restart. The longest one is my 4 TB internal photo drive.

I clone my 1 TB SSD in a few hours, with Acronis, not days.
Yours could be taking longer because the source/original drive is faulty.
I’d watch for the end to see if the cloning was successful.
