I have always said my good shots were pure luck. Just happened to be at the right place at the right time. But being able to use the camera to make those lucky times count is where the art is. It would appear you are quite good with your art.

In your case, I don't think luck has anything to do with it. You knew you were at the right place. You knew the right time would come but not sure when. But, you were patient and persevered and in the end, rewarded with a fantastic shot because you're good, as well.
