I reread your post. You know you said it backwards, right? Once released it will lock the focus.
Right. Once depressed it will lock focus. Then you can release it.

I see what you did there. I was thinking in terms of how the servo focus is changing all the while you track your moving subject, then locks at a given focus when you release the button. Same idea i guess.

All great pictures! Curious as to the meaning of the decals on #6. Never seen them before.
I sent the link to these pictures to a close friend who is currently at his hanger in Texas. He liked the pics and had a specific response to the very last picture. I thought you might enjoy seeing his response. His name is Mike.

The last picture is a shot of a Marine PBJ patrol bomber, a version of the famous North American B-25 Mitchell bomber. I flew that particular aircraft (the one pictured) as a copilot back in the early to mid 90's when she was based at the Montgomery County airport north of Houston. We called her the "Devil Dog." NOISY airplane! And I mean LOUD up in the cockpit as you were sitting between a pair of 1700 HP, 14 cylinder, twin row Wright R2600 radial engines! With short exhaust stacks! What a blast!!
