Quite impressive to be that steady with handheld at 600mm. Nice job. Any secret to that you want to share, such as a handle to hold. I think even leaning against a tree or on a rock, is a challenge to get a 500mm or higher that steady.

I use a pistol or hand grip which is attached to my lens. This really steadies my shot. Picture below shows my photo combo.

I'm a 75 year old average built man. More than 7 years of hand-holding my shots (no tripod) has strengthened my wrists and hands.

Anybody with a good camera and lens can shoot the Moon with good results. One secret: do not photograph a full moon. You will not have much crater detail because the full moon will be too bright. Below is my photo combo that I use to capture the Moon and a variety of subjects.
