I use a pluto trigger and my phone - this also provides a trigger on lightning, sound, photocell as well as a built in interval trigger (although the camera already can do this on its own) - I also have a D500. This works extremely well

I have a Viltrox purchased on amazon for less than $30. It has multiple modes, including bulb. Works very well on Canon

The Pixel is outstanding. I leave it on my D500 ALL THE TIME. It attaches to the side of the front side of the D500. It is small and does not take up essential space. Virtually weightless. I love it.
