I have a few hobbies that I enjoy. Photography is Number One on my list.
There is flying a plane, photography, sailing a boat, fishing, photography, reading, photography, woodworking, photo..... I think you get my point.
As for eating, it is one of the most fun things you can do with your clothes on.
Remember, we rarely get out of this life alive. LOL!

Photography is a great therapy.
The tax consequences could be immense. Imagine pro-rating each lens and filter over the projected years of lifespan and writing-off that percentage, each year. Hey, it works for industry. Even Sports team owners write-off their players!
