Have fun. Once in a while consider a single topic for the day's shots. For example, one day decide to only shoot trees. Another, only shoot windows. Another, only people's shoes. It becomes a game to pick a topic for the day, and it is a lot of fun. Soon you begin to see details more clearly and your photos begin to interest you more.
BTW, on your computer, make a folder for pictures that is unique, like "MyShots." Now inside that folder, make a separate folder for each of those topics you decide to shoot. Everything will be so much easier to find once you copy your pictures to those folders on your computer.

If you find all the terms confusing, as I did, go to Amazon and type in "Al Judge". He has written a series of short, to the point, books on the basics of digital photography. The first is a series of mine booklets that are available in paper, or as downloads to your Kindle able device. Every photography term is defined and explained. And even though I have been messing with cameras since the 60s, I learned something from each book. Then you can move on to Bryan Peterson and Scott Kelby.
