I've been there three times. Two times the mtn was covered in cloud and the third it was raining!

The first two are interesting especially after downloading and cropping to let these old eyes see the detail. I even looked for specks of color from folks summiting - just one pixel would be fun. The popular West Buttress route starts on the far side of the mountain and takes them up via the right side of the peak.

No climbers - the season had already ended in early July. I did a summit flyover and you can still see some of the camp outlines in the snow. May post those soon. Last time I did the flyover I have a great shot where you can see 3 mountaineers on the way down with their long sun shadows.

Currently the Parks Hwy is partially closed at MP 70 due to fire and smoke, and the Alaska Railroad has temporarily suspended all operations for passenger trains between Anchorage and Fairbanks. Just a heads up.

Beautiful shots! I'm heading to Alaska next week. Hope we have some beautiful weather, but if not, I'm still excited to be going!!
