Great news, indeed. My wife is currently being treated for lung cancer. She has undergone a round of radiation and chemo. They are now treating her with immunotherapy. The Drs have said that there is a 50% chance that they will achieve a cure. Not very long ago, there was almost a 0% chance. Your news is a good inspiration for hope that something good will happen.

Praying for good things for your wife and for everyone else that is going through this. I have talked with many people over the years and the one thing that everyone unanimously agree on is that the patients attitude and being positive REALLY GOES A LONG WAY in getting good results. Be as positive and upbeat as you can, it will make a difference.

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer 8 years ago. I opted for surgery (why surgery is a long story.) I'm still going strong after 8 years (God is good) and I whole-heartedly endorse your admonishment to have faith, be positive and fight it.

I have read several posts lately about people getting cancer so I thought I would share the results from my recent checkup to maybe encourage a few members that are dealing with cancer. In July of 2016 I spent a month in the hospital at M.D.Anderson Cancer Hospital in Houston. During that month I received chemo twice with the second round being very intense. I also had Stem Cell replacements during my stay. This week I went for my third yearly exam and was told that my test results and CT scan could not have been any better. Needless to say I am very happy with all of my results and thought I would share this positive information with those dealing with cancer in their lives. Bottom line is, have faith. be positive, and fight it, because it can be overcome.

Congratulations, that is indeed very good news, I hope it stays that way in the future and continues to improve. It sure went a different way with my late wife. She was fighting cancer for three years, had chemo for well over two and in the end was having radiations and had the gamma knife treatment for quite some time. Then after several scans they told her that she was in fact cancer free, not one cancer cell could be found. Hoorayy,... a week later she died and the autopsy found 120 tumors in her brain!

Congrats. I'm 4 1/2 years out from esophageal cancer - 4 major surgeries, but I'm cancer-free. Faith is a major factor in beating it. I now counsel other victims of the disease. I tell them if you have no faith, find it. If you have it, renew it. I remind of them of the World War II saying that there are no atheists in fox holes. In battling cancer you are in combat; the only difference is the battlefield is your body. Be ever vigilant, its a damn sneaky disease and keep up with your check-ups. All my best to you.

My son is just coming off this same scenario from this last fall and spring (non-Hodgkins lymphoma). He gets his second scan in a week or so; so far, so good after the stem cell replacement. Good luck to him and congrats to you!
