1/2000, F6.3 and ISO auto with a max of 1600. You can get rid of the noise later in lightroom. Shoot at the fastest rate that the camera gives you.

Thanks....that's the shutter speed that others have said as well......I will have those settings on the camera the next time I get to go out.

I agree with imagemeister's comment, but otherwise you captured a great series.

Finally was able to capture an eagle diving and catching a fish! Was in our boat using the Nikon D500 with the tamron 150-600 lens...1/800, f6.3, 600 mm, iso 400.

Any pointers on getting sharper images would be appreciated... I am usually in the fishing boat (I'm supposed to be fishing instead of watching for birds....lol....per the husband!!) I did edit them in LR and the Topaz Denoise program.

Talk about a drive thru!!!

Great shot, I get sharp results with my Tamron 150-600 g2 and a D810

Thanks! I will be playing more in post to see if I can lighten them and bring out the colors more.

Plenty sharp, Cindy. Tell hubby to tend to his fishing and stop bugging you about watching birds. Getting BIF is challenging. You did a remarkable job.
