The Demon-1 biplane, known as "Dracula", was originally conceived by Kyle Franklin and his late father Jimmy. Dracula combines the pleasing lines of the iconic Waco Mystery Ship with modern aerodynamics and systems, resulting in a smaller, lighter, significantly more maneuverable and powerful airplane.

The show lasts a week, usually beginning on the last Monday in July. During the gathering, the airport's control tower is the busiest in the world.

Thank you Larry, Bird Dawg, Dick! The roar of the planes is fun, particularly for me, the T-6 Texans.

I can relate. Heard the Texans almost every day flying over, at tech school in Chanute, Illinois in 1959.

Great photos Paul, and you included two of my favorites from WWII, the Corsair and Mustang. Always appreciate the narrative you provide with your images too.

I've shot at 4 Oshkosh shows and at least a half dozen CAF shows. I set the camera on shutter priority and shoot the whole thing at 1/125th. Only rarely does it fail. And it's so so easy.

Thank you Nick, Susan, Rick, Charlie, Stan, Blair, Earnest, FL Streetrodder, Mike, Dave, Raymond, Dean, Saigon, Ed, josephl1331, Mike, Fotoartist, Vince, Bill, flathead27ford! There was one day with a heavy drizzle for about an hour, but not enough to stop that day's show. Otherwise, most days in Oshkosh 2019 were sunny and hot, but not oppressively. Glad you enjoyed some for the results. Thank you for your kind comments.
