Thank you Tomfl101, nimbushopper, johnlutz, JoAnneK01, NormanTheGr8, Jerry, SnappyHappy, Marty, Stash, Gitchigumi, Bill, John, PattyW60, jederick, phlash46! This was only my second year to Oshkosh where I employed several updates to my shooting and touring style based on last year's learning. One learning point was how early I needed to be in position near the center before the start of the show, up to 90-minutes in the sun before the 2:30pm show start. Glad you enjoyed these. Look forward to more posts now the editing is done.

EAA AirVenture Oshkosh is an annual gathering of aviation enthusiasts held each summer at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The airshow is sponsored by the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), an international organization based in Oshkosh, and is the largest aviation-related gathering in the world. The show lasts a week, usually beginning on the last Monday in July. During the gathering, the airport's control tower is the busiest in the world.

The Vought F4U Corsair is an American fighter aircraft that saw service primarily in World War II and the Korean War. From the first prototype delivery to the U.S. Navy in 1940, to final delivery in 1953 to the French, 12,571 F4U Corsairs were manufactured in 16 separate models. Its 1942-53 production run was the longest of any U.S. piston-engine fighter.

Paul, thank you for the entire set of photo and you captured my favorite fighter, the F4U Corsair. If memory serves me correctly, it was the only plane produced into the 50s.

Thank you Alx, David, Jack, ibenger, Steve, billmck, Doc, Greg, photophly, Jimmy! I kept some statistics through the edit process. Without boring you with a step by step analysis thru the culling steps, I finished with 322 processed digital images and 111 scans from film using 48GB of storage (RAW+TIFF+JPEG). After 6-days of shooting and before the film came back from processing, there were 8240 RAW files (203GB). For the RAW files, that's a 4% keeper rate. Glad you enjoyed some of the results.
