I've noticed the HBs yield to the orioles. Size may be a factor. The dynamics at the feeder are fun to watch, and I eat breakfast with the birds, watching them challenge each other for a good position at the feeders.

I never saw these birds until a couple of years ago. Now that they've discovered the "treats" I put out, they're summer regulars. It's fun to watch their interaction with each other and the other birds that come for meals.

I really enjoy all of the visitors to the feeders and find I keep adding to the collection of things that might attract them. My deck railing is starting to look cluttered. Fortunately there haven't been too many bees to intimidate them. Ants are a nuisance, but they seem to work around them.
