wrong Nikon does have VR
The one I'm looking at does not have VR. You can view the ads that I included. There's a $400 or so difference. As a matter of fact I've decided to go ahead and
purchase the VR version. At 71 I'm not as steady as I used to be.
I have the Tamron SP Gen 2 versions and in all reviews I've read, the Tamron compares almost the same in most areas and better in some areas for less than 1/2 cost. The G2 are metal bodies and weather sealed. I have the 15-30mm, 24-70mm, 70-200mm all f/2.8. I also have a 150-600 5.6-6.3 and 1.4 converter. I also use the SP 90mm for macro work either on my crop sensor and ff mirrorless
Thank you all for the valuable input.
