Thanks Mark, that was outstanding. I am a retired Navy trumpet player stationed in San Diego in late 50's. Had a small group playing in San Diego clubs with fellow musician Bill Watrous. Occasionally on the last set Buddy DeFranco (clarinet extraordinaire) would come in and ask to sit in. He would take over with some blazingly fast Bop that I could only stumble through but at the close of the set would coax me to go to an after hours place to jam. Also I sat in with Virgil Gonsalves (baritone sax) at the Blackhawk in San Francisco before being shipped to Guam. Loved the west coast music and musicians. Ended up with Navy Band Washington (DC) where I retired after 30 years in the company of Navy musicians Phil Wilson, Stan Mark, Kurt Thompson, buddy Randy Purcell and some others of slightly lesser renown. Great times. Embouchure is gone now but good memories.
Thanks again , Mark for video of Richie and his group.

Wow, Bill Watrous is "the consummate jazz trombonist"! I'm impressed with your "hanging out musicians. I played trumpet too, not on your level, but I got along. I recently had my 48' Bronx NY Bach Stradivarius professionally cleaned and gave it to my grandson. He plays trumpet and loves jazz.
The good old years, right?

Thanks,
Mark
