Hard to understand how Richie, Bruce and Bobby aren't household names. Richie was in his late 20's when this was taped which makes it all the more amazing. Bruce is almost ten years younger than Richie and was easily Richie's musical equal. Both are still under appreciated.
Mark, IMHO, technically well played. However, he showed absolutely no personality or stage presence. I actually laid my iPad down so as not to see him but just listen to, and enjoy, the music.

I'm curios to know what he could do to show more personality?

Many gifted and talented jazz musicians are not the least bit interested in either. The audiences appreciate the artists without that. Miles Davis would walk off the set after his improvised choruses. Thelonius Monk would walk around the stage when he was not playing.
Agree with you about many talented musicians. For some reason this guy just left me cold - much like a robot. Just seemed like he put no personality in his performance. Unlike his group, who at least looked like they enjoyed making music.
