Mark,
Tnx for the correction. I heard it on a station in NJ....must have been a recording.

No problem, Dannj. I could not stop laughing the first time listening to it. It's still funny!

I’ve lived in NY and NJ most of my life and can state without reservation that the folks who say “Joisey” are from Brooklyn😊
This is so true. I'm guilty.

You did not drive "through Noo Joisey". You were probably on I 95 and then LIE. You never really saw "Noo Joisey". The drive you took was like a drive in LA. Would that be seeing California?

People think of NJ as being the Turnpike, refinery towers and Newark lol.
In NJ, you can be in the Mountains, horse country, at the shore, or taking a stroll down Broadway all within 45 minutes.
It’s still a good State, expensive yes, but’s lot of services with world class hospitals, Universities etc
However, well, I try not to touch on politics, but this new Governor has to go.
He, if elected again, will turn us into California. And it will be irreversible.
In my travels around the state for business, I have yet to meet anyone who wants him to continue in office.
New Jerseyans better wake up and wake up fast. The people he promises handouts to, could vote this clown in again.
Nj has been a good run for us. 30 yrs in Bergen County, raised our kids here and you can't beat NJ pizza. However the NJ I knew is no longer the NJ I see today. Going into NYC mimics the national debt of a small country, crime is getting out of control even in "better" areas and, yes, the cost basis has grown exponentially.
We're just crossing the bridge into Delaware which is shown itself to be a more 55+ friendly place to live. NO sales tax, property taxes are 1/4 of what I pay now for a bigger home, and frankly the services we have in our town rival and often are better than I presently have.
Granted, it is a personal decision, but we are truly looking forward to our move and many of friends are looking to do the same.

I've been to the shore before, and no need to see the Pine Barrens again.

New Jerseyans heading West and South
Californians heading Eastward
What a dam shame.
If any State taxes more than California, I would like to know which one it is?
