agreed. I have had excellent experiences with Adorama, B&H, and Cameta (the A-B-C stores).
Anyone know of stores near Pittsburgh area .... besides Bernie's?

This does not apply if you live on the Gulf Coast.. FLA AL MS and probably Texas. Wal Mart and Best Buy are not exactly camera stores. I don’t believe there is a full service camera store in any of these states. And throw in Tennessee as well.
That is not true for Texas...there is a store named Houston Camera Exchange (mentioned elsewhere in this thread) and in the Dallas area, we have Competitive Camera and another store in Arlington, Texas (Dallas metroplex) named "Arlington Camera Store." I have shopped at both and been satisfied.
Also Fort Worth Camera. I've also had good luck with them; Competitive can be hit or miss IMHO re service - they size you up and if they don't think you you're buying the "right" equipment, they can be difficult.
Los Angeles/Torrance has a great store that is committed to building a community through its store Paul's Photo and it's Creative Photo Academy. Service is outstanding and classes are very good. Worth the drive if you're in LA or OC.
If you have a local camera store, buy local. (And I'm not talking about Best Buy.) Prices are pretty much fixed by the manufacturers and there isn't any advantage to ordering online. Keep in mind, "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is."
I love getting lost in B&h. The are not pushy and have good info. Great selection let you play with stuff
