Yeah, over in the UK, we see that there are few guns, but lots of knives. Actually, in London last year there were over 22,000 knife attacks. Most retailers now lock up the single knives, as they are the most stolen item in the store. Sorry that your stats are so bad.

Do you imagine them as drawings or computer generated images and not photographs?

As I was a Peace Officer for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office, I always had guns in the house. I taught my kids to shoot .38's, 9mm and .357's at the age of 9. They, to this day have a very healthy respect for guns. I was never afraid of them touching my weapons. They knew guns were meant to k**l, so they never touched them when I was not home.

I am sure you do...as you are in the UK. So sorry you cannot understand that a tool is very useful at times. I see you Brits are looking at banning knives now....better add hammers to the list too. The abrogation of the duty for self preservation & relegating it to others is a sad thing to see. I too am disturbed...by the complete trust that the government can or even WILL protect you & your family.

Congrats to you for teaching her young before the “ban the guns” group get to her. You, know, the ones who don’t understand the Constitution.
Nice photo, too.

I think this post is relevant in that it shows a way to enjoy photography and target shooting sports. I started the same way with my Father 65 years ago. I still enjoy shooting and photography although I have moved on to digital and suppressors. My son and daughter have tried shooting but like photography more. At least they gave both a try and that is what we do in photography, try, try, try, and try again. Keep shooting, Dale

Whether you approve or not, it’s still a picture.

That's great. I started when I was six years old and got my kids shooting by age seven. And no, we haven't k**led anyone (for those on the Left) and one is a doctor and the other a nurse. Starting with my grandkids now.

Down in the south, when I was in school we all drove pick up trucks with a gun rack in the back window that we actually drove to school. Like in the old movie Red Dawn.
I guess it depends on where you are raised but in the the heart of Dixie we was taught to respect a gun and they was not toys. I Think my first gun was a red rider BB gun at six.

Hopefully the Brits won’t need to be bailed out again during another war. Back in 1940, US citizens donated tens of thousands of their personal guns, ammo, money, and even helmets that the doughboys brought back from WW1 as souvenirs. Not counting the lives Americans sacrificed as well.

At the rate their going rocks will be the only means of defense.

“Someone” shouldn’t have a gun.
