After 3 weeks, Nikon returned my camera (D7500) all repaired, except . . .

When I press the shutter half way, I expect to see settings displayed on the monitor. I'd also like to see the photo after taking a photo. (Image Review is ON)

Neither is happening. Do I need send this back or is there some setting I can't seem to find.

The original problem (after dropping the camera) was 'ERR' on the monitor all the time.

Thanks.

Call Nikon. Phone info should be on repair invoice. They will know the exact camera and repair info. Should be quickest way to solve the issue.

Shutter half press DEACTIVATES the LCD, always has. Use your info button for display.

When Nikon fixes a body, they do a complete reset to factory original settings. Have you checked your all of your settings int he Playback Menu Settings screen? Have you cycled through the joystick to display the various setting screens? When you say you are expecting to see the settings displayed on the monitor, are you talking about the rear review screen? Unless you are shooting in Live View, you won't see anything if you have not enabled Touch Controls and you have Info Display, Auto Information Display, and Auto Info Display enabled. Auto info display will show the info on a half press if it is enabled.

I suggest you don't send the camera back to Nikon until you have thoroughly read the manual.

I believe, you have a warranty period on their repairs, if it is still under warranty, call them, explain the problem over the phone, stay calm and professional, them them that, in your opinion, it still needs serviced and why would Nikon send it to you this way.

It's settings. It's not broken.

Yup it's settings. However if the OP can't figure it out he can simply call Nikon and they would show him how to set it the way he wants.

Wrong answer.

You can change that in the settings.
