Regarding Honouring God - my initial question to the 6000 Year old world was "How can God - who does NOT lie, create a world and universe that does??

IMHO for this question - scripture is far better than any web site; so:

The age of the earth - is not given in scripture, it is calculated from an assumed starting point - and anything that is calculated is subject to error. The ~ ‘6000 years’ that is calculated by genealogy from Adam may have some errors due to gaps and jumps - some calculations as much as ~ 19,000 years- however in the body of scripture, there are other far more serious problems.

Lucifer/Satan/Devil/Serpent:
In Genesis chapter 3, the Lucifer/Serpent ( Rev 11:9) is tempting Eve: Note that the ‘6000 years’ is counted from Adam and Eve who were the first - or were they? read:

Isaiah 14:12 - 17 12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations ……..They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof;

These nations were there BEFORE Adam and Eve.

Another problem for the ‘6000 years’ The Garden of Eden: It was planted by God in an existing world:

Gen 2:8-14 ¶ And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed and out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil and a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold and the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone and the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia and the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria and the fourth river is Euphrates.

The scriptures in Genesis and Isaiah take precedence over a calculation from an undefined point in the record of creation.

Regarding the starting time/date

Ref: Rabbi Yaakov Youlus; quote from his book ‘The Language of G-D’,

In Biblical Hebrew there are two words, both meaning ‘In the beginning’: Bereshit and Bereshona.

‘Bereshit’ (in the beginning) is not related to time at all.
‘Bereshona’ (in the beginning) could be related to time.

The Biblical Hebrew word used in Genesis 1 verse 1 is ‘Bereshit’, telling us that ‘In the beginning’ - Scripture is not referring to a specific time or point in time in history.
