Quoting UHH member Linda from Maine: β€œFor many of us hobbyists the 16-bit is irrelevant”

Really, you really need to process from 14-bit Raw to 16-bit to know what you are doing with serious photography for even a hobbyist. Sounds like saying mediocre glass is good enough. Some people know how to get everything out of everything they use in photography (based on what they can afford). Many people who use HDR create 32-bit files, huge. I've created 1.3 GB stitched panoramas as PSB files with my somewhat dated Ps CS6. Have you looked at Linda's photos?

I pay $9.99 per month for Photoshop which includes Lightroom, Bridge, and Adobe Camera Raw. I never use LR.
I always use the other programs.

I do not believe the monthly subscription obligates the user to buy more than one month of use at a time.

Someone else here may have a better reply for you.

was about to buy the $9.99/month Creative Cloud Photographers plan which includes Lightroom and Photoshop but noticed that it says "Annual Plan/Paid Monthly. I only need Photoshop + updates and plugs ins and don't need Lightroom. But I don't want to be legally obligated to pay for a whole year. So is it $9.99/for however many months I want of will I essentially be buying a year (@ $120 which isn't so bad either). I don't understand what I would be buying? You Tube, etc. doesn't explain. Thank you all in advance.

Given that I said on page 1 that I have used PS Elements for 6 years, I take your comment as a cautionary tale of what not to do πŸ˜‡

But seriously folks, I am so grateful for all the joy I've derived in my post-processing journey and for the friendships I've made with like-minded individuals. Follow your bliss.
