Yes, he has tracking telescopes. He gave me his older 8inch one with the gps guided tracker also.

But now I can't use it with my bridge camera. Guess I'll just gaze.

Are there no telescope adapters for your bridge camera?

I don't know a thing about any of this, but a web search turned up the terminology "afocal"-type adapters for cameras that don't have removable lenses. I have no idea how well they might work. Looked like they might come in various sizes. In case this helps -- gosh, I don't want to be the only one spending money on camera stuff...

All that "cloudiness" in the center of the
Andromeda Galaxy is stars spaced together at about the same distance of our nearest stars . . . 5 - 7 million light years away. The distance to Andromeda makes them seem like a cloud.

Hey in about 6-7 billion years, Andromeda and our Galaxy, the Milky Way are supposed to collide and join . . . becoming the Milkymeda. I think that is a crummy name, but we still have time to change it.

Wonderful photo by the way, and stacking software can be found for free.

Ohh I know that milkiness is millions if not billions of stars etc. out there Sarge. It frustrates me to think how much is out there and we will NEVER ever be able to see even one of those stars or planets, during our mere life time existence on earth.

Lucian, if you don't mind, I'd like to respond to your thoughts. It is my desire to one day travel throughout the universe. While it's true that life currently is transitory, our Creator (who can not lie, Titus 1:2) has promised that there's going to be a worldwide scale ressurrection, he at that time will open his hand and satisfy every DESIRE!!
:-D John 5:28-29, Psalms 145:16

Just ponder the prospects!

Yeah, I'd like to be like Dave in the movie, 2001, where he is a Star-Baby, who can travel thoughout the Universe; resurrected from his old and aging body.

I believe the only way to get this surely resurrection is through belief in Jesus, the Christ, who put his body and Soul to the test to forgive us of our sins.

Y'all might fuss at me for putting this online, but see what turmoil the Arabs are having with their religion, if it is to be called that!
