Inspiring images, gorgeous subjects!
But, are there vineyards as well?

Thank you for visiting. And yes, there were vineyards, but somehow the photos I took of them were not too inspiring. I have a number of better shots of vineyards from New Zealand, which is the next stage in our DownUnder series, so I decided to show these instead of the ones in WA. But thanks for asking!

Thanks for the thumbs up Richard - I will have my last stand in WA tomorrow and then move out of your beautiful country and head over to your similarly enticing neighbour New Zealand!

You must live on the sunny side of life because I never see any clouds in your photos. (Hyperbole on my part). I really appreciate your composition on virtually every shot. Well executed.

Western Australia is well-known for its high quality wines. While it has only a tiny sliver of some 3% of the total Australian wine production, it produces an astounding over 20% of Australia's premium wines, which is mainly due to its cooler climate . While Western Australia has a number of wine regions, Margaret River is the most famous.

In this post, we will visit two wineries which excel not only with their wines but are also a joy to look at - and photograph of course. I hope you will enjoy this short visual trip into the wine region. For accuracy's sake and just in case this post entices someone to visit the area, please note that Laurance Cellar has subsequent to our visit been acquired by Robert Oatley Vineyards and has been renamed.

The last photo shows an attractive flower that I cannot identify - further information from the knowledgeable UHH viewers would be much appreciated.

Please view in download for better enjoyment.

Thank you George. Let's put it this way - I would like to live on the sunny side of life, wouldn't we all. And puffy white clouds are a god-sent. But, I will prove you that this doesn't always hold true, my starting set tomorrow for New Zealand will positively not have not a trace of sun (except on the title shot) but plenty of the solid whiffy stuff!

Great quality photos that do the Margaret River region of WA justice.
