Western Australia is well-known for its high quality wines. While it has only a tiny sliver of some 3% of the total Australian wine production, it produces an astounding over 20% of Australia's premium wines, which is mainly due to its cooler climate . While Western Australia has a number of wine regions, Margaret River is the most famous.
In this post, we will visit two wineries which excel not only with their wines but are also a joy to look at - and photograph of course. I hope you will enjoy this short visual trip into the wine region. For accuracy's sake and just in case this post entices someone to visit the area, please note that Laurance Cellar has subsequent to our visit been acquired by Robert Oatley Vineyards and has been renamed.
The last photo shows an attractive flower that I cannot identify - further information from the knowledgeable UHH viewers would be much appreciated.

Beautiful places. Seems like every winery I ever heard of or saw has beautiful grounds.
Thank you Charles for looking in and for the thumbs up!

You are right, I guess visual appeal predisposes visitors to look at their goodies in a more positive buying mood. And yes, I have seen quite a few absolutely stunning wineries, a few down in the Cape winelands around Stellenbosch come to mind. But I have also seen the occasional rather plain one that never-the-less made me happy with their wines - maybe it is the wines after all ....
Thank you for your kind comment - and I am happy that you can see them through my photos.

Thanks for the thumbs up Richard - I will have my last stand in WA tomorrow and then move out of your beautiful country and head over to your similarly enticing neighbour New Zealand!
