I have used all mentioned, just about. You can't really go wrong with any.

Does anyone have experience with both KEH and MPB? I am wondering which company has the more honest grading on their used equipment. I am looking to buy a lens and one company's Ex+ is more than the other's LN.

I highly recommend KEH. I have not had any experience with MPB. I also have experience with Roberts Camera of Indianapolis. KEH and Roberts are honest and their ratings of the used cameras are extremely accurate. Good luck!

I have bought at times 2 cameras and 3 lenses and am getting ready to buy another lens from KEH . They are fair and have a very good warranty with a 14 day trial .

Hedgehoggers, Why don’t we buy and sell here? Where all honest and reliable!

Actually I have bought and sold here. And the transactions have always been good. I price below retail (used) and above what I would get from the used marketers of cameras and think that way every body wins.

I've used KEH for over 20 years and never a complaint. Have purchased many lenses classified as "bargain" and the glass has always been flawless. Don't hesitate!

I have bought several times from KEH and have always felt that what I received was a bit better than their rating.

I have found that all of them grade tge same way. Like I said, I have used just about all the mentioned sellers, and their grading is always a little more critical than what the item actually is. Some excellent deals can be had!

In my opinion you really can't go wrong with KEH, (unfamiliar with MPB). You might also want to check Used Camera Pro from Roberts Camera in Indianapolis. Never a complaint with them.

Thanks!

Roberts Used Photo Pro is excellent - as is B&H. Have done business with both for years.

Not familiar with Roberts, but I no longer trust B&H as they performed unethically on a computer I bought.

I have purchased used items from both KEH and MBP as well as from B&H Photo. Have found all three to rate gear reliably. If you are selling gear, KEH might be a bit more strict with their ratings, but I haven’t found the difference to be major overall.

If more strict when buying the gear, perhaps KEH is more conservative when rating the gear to sell...which would give them the edge. Thanks for sharing, rjaywallace.

I have found that mpb.com gives a better price than the other buyers for your gear.
I have bought and sold with them several times with no problems.
They are good to deal with and respond quickly in communications with them.
They will email you prepaid shipping label for things you are selling to them and give free shipping on things you buy from them.

will

I have not dealt with MPB yet, so I appreciate your input, Will!

It's not on the OPs list, but I have bought 4 used lenses from Adorama.com (Nikon 1.4x III teleconverter and 50mm f/1.4G, Tamron 85mm f/1.8 and 35mm f/1.8. I have been very happy with the quality of the items I received as I could not tell the difference from new on the demo, E+, and E rated gear. I like their terms including their return policy.

Adorama is my go-to for new purchases...just haven't had any experience buying used from them. I will broaden my search and check to see what they have. Thanks!
