The Democratic Debate last night

I can’t believe that Castro during the Democratic debates last night tried to lay a guilt trip on me and all other Americans talking about the father and his 2 year old daughter who drowned trying to cross into the US illegally. They had already been refused entry at one of the legal crossing check points. I am extremely sorry they lost their lives but do Castro’s remarks make me feel guilty for some reason. Sorry, but I don’t feel a bit guilty. I didn’t ask them to break the law trying to sneak across the border illegally. It somewhat amused me how the Democrats spoke about the illegal crossings but not one of them offered a workable solution to stopping it. Are they really so thick between the ears that they think this can just go on forever with American taxpayers continuing to pay the bill? Little if anything was said about American tax payers having to foot the burden economically for those who cross illegally as well as many who come across legally. We’ve had 20+ years to do something and our Congress has basically done absolutely nothing positive to curb the illegal flow and put a stop this situation. Then President Trump tries to do something (right or wrong) and especially the Democrats and some Republicans as well throw road blocks in his path at every opportunity. I for one am s**k of Congress being paid to do what in my estimation amounts to nothing about this issue.

Lastly if you watched the debates it should have become quite obvious that the Democrat candidates are intentionally or not trying to lead the US down the path to socialism. If you didn’t hear that maybe you were watching but you certainly weren’t listening.

A large part of that taxpayer base who are paying for i*****l a***ns who cross the border are the baby boomers (there are about 77 million of us). Baby boomers are now in their 60's and 70's . When we are gone, guess who will have the responsibility of paying for these millions and millions of i*****l a***ns that are flowing endlessly across the border? Do the millennials and younger generations realize that THEY will be the ones responsible for paying those taxes? They need to think this through a bit more thoroughly....would they benefit from stopping the flow? Yet they still advocate for open borders, free health care for i******s, free education, free housing! I tell my son to get himself prepared for retirement because there will be nothing left for regular Americans since our government chooses to help i*****l a***ns over their own legal citizens.

Every Millennial and member of the younger generation should read your post and let sink in what they will be facing if we allow the Democrats in power. Very few if any things are actually free. You pay one way or the other.

I am not in favor of completly free and open borders, but I do wonder what exactly the Trump supporters would do if they lived in a country where they and their families were exposed to extreme violece and the only hope for a tolerable life was to flee their dangerous homeland. Would you just stay and watch your sons be forced to serve cartels and your daughters forced into sex s***ery? These people don't just "decide to go swimming". They are faced with very tough decisions regarding their families' survival.

I and many others would join forces and defeat the cartels or the corrupt government. If these folks cannot protect their homeland and make it a safe place to live why would we expect them be good citizens.

Sorry...I don't buy it...."they" were at the American/Mexican border.....not "their dangerous homeland" a FEW more days on the mexican side, while the other 10,000 people were WALKING through huge gaps in the 'wall' would have prevented this tragedy. HASTE-makes-dire decisions.

They did flee their homelands...to Mexico, where they should have claimed asylum. The fact that they trekked all the way to Mexico's northern border is highly suspect. I don't think for a minute that these are people who suddenly decided, by the hundreds of thousands, to suddenly get up and walk to the US border. They are being organized, and it is being paid for by people who h**e President Trump. The backfire will happen when those organizers realize what they are doing to American taxpayers, who are charged with paying for the i******s when they get here. Do Americans think that these Democrats running for President who want free health care, free housing, free education for i******s are doing it for the benefit of Americans? What benefit would that be?

Cheap, plentiful unsk**led labor that one day will become v****g citizens. Also do not forget the reapportionment of House Represenatives coming up after the 2020 Census. I wonder how may of the smaller states will lose a Representative to the Sanctuary States that have grown their population with the influx of i******s searching for that Sanctuary City safety.
We are slowly becoming a Third World Country as we allow Third World immigrants that have no intention of melding into our social structure, and we are letting them walk in unvetted by the thousands every month.

If we don't put a stop to that nonsense very soon in probably 30 to 40 years (maybe less) it won't be a problem. The USA will be like Venezuela is today and there will be no money to pay for the free stuff.

Democrats know EXACTLY what they are doing. They want the US to become a socialist nation, take all of your money to promote socialism, they will control the money and YOU will have nothing, nothing but needing them to dole out the free s**t so you can survive and eeke out an existence.
