The Democratic Debate last night

I can’t believe that Castro during the Democratic debates last night tried to lay a guilt trip on me and all other Americans talking about the father and his 2 year old daughter who drowned trying to cross into the US illegally. They had already been refused entry at one of the legal crossing check points. I am extremely sorry they lost their lives but do Castro’s remarks make me feel guilty for some reason. Sorry, but I don’t feel a bit guilty. I didn’t ask them to break the law trying to sneak across the border illegally. It somewhat amused me how the Democrats spoke about the illegal crossings but not one of them offered a workable solution to stopping it. Are they really so thick between the ears that they think this can just go on forever with American taxpayers continuing to pay the bill? Little if anything was said about American tax payers having to foot the burden economically for those who cross illegally as well as many who come across legally. We’ve had 20+ years to do something and our Congress has basically done absolutely nothing positive to curb the illegal flow and put a stop this situation. Then President Trump tries to do something (right or wrong) and especially the Democrats and some Republicans as well throw road blocks in his path at every opportunity. I for one am s**k of Congress being paid to do what in my estimation amounts to nothing about this issue.

Lastly if you watched the debates it should have become quite obvious that the Democrat candidates are intentionally or not trying to lead the US down the path to socialism. If you didn’t hear that maybe you were watching but you certainly weren’t listening.

This is one of the reasons I did not watch. The dems have been on a path of destruction as long as I can remember so I concluded early on that nothing of value would come out of the 'debate' (a loosely used description at best) and to watch it would be a waste of time.

I don't think there was anything humorous meant by the post. I think the post was indicating how blame is many times placed where it doesn't belong and in this case the blame was in my estimation quite obviously the fathers bad judgement. What a shame two people died because of that. If you do a little reading I think you will find the father was warned not to try to swim across but he did not heed the warning.
