One option might be to revisit the digests during the period in which you think it appeared. The digest links end in a number. You can change (decrement) the number to go back to previous digests. If you think it was sometime in January, change the number in the link (1984 for the June 23 digest) to 1841 and you will get the digest for January 31. Decrement the number by one and you can go back day by day - a little onerous but should get you there.
