This is one of the best performances of it too, 2005. Last time Gilmour, Mason, Waters and Wright performed together.

Your welcome. Yes, the black Strat... thats the one that sold for $3.9mil.

Here is another great live video from 1994... this one is without Roger Waters on bass though. Whether anyone likes Pink Floyd's music or not, David Gilmour is one of the greatest guitar players of my time. Right up there with Clapton, Page, SRV, Duane Allman, and countless others.

Absolutely right. Gilmour was/is one of rock's greatest guitarists - EVER.

The guy who dislikes Floyd probably does so because he doesn't like Roger Waters (lead vocals and song-writer). But, they're worth listening to just for Gilmour's solos.

Like many bands, the whole thing worked. Waters wrote great stuff.

I wonder how many guitars he owns? All of the articles I read on the auction all said he sold 126 guitars, for $21,490,750, all of which is to be donated to the charity ClientEarth.

I love tha he’s putting his money where his mouth is and not just virtue signaling.

Comfortably Numb music was by Gilmour, lyrics by Roger Waters, to keep it true.

As I indicated, the whole collaboration worked—for a while.
Then the Gilmour/Waters relationship experienced problems.
Gilmour was successful in the lawsuit.

Definitely a Legendary player and composer like so many of the British rockers from the 60s and 70s. It was in their blood. Only a handful of my favorites were US artists like Duane and Hendrix. Hendrix made the Fender Strat wildly popular when he made his debut with Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell (both British) in 1967 at the Montrey Pop festival in SF. American guitars (Ricks, Fender, Gibson) were and still are top choice. But Marshall amps were and still are the tone dogs of great rock. Fender amps too.

Definitely a Legendary player and composer like so... (show quote)

Yes, you've got that right. Don't forget Vox amps as well. The AC30, they were legendary also.

Ahh...you are right. I forgot about the great Vox AC30. Brian May's go to amp setup (and Tom Petty, and many others). Can't believe I left that out. And I own one too; A Vox AC30 made in England with blue Alnico speakers. Absolute stunning tone. Good catch.
